I am looking to buy a prepaid cellphone because the company i was with (AMPD) went bankrupt

Virgin Mobile has a $25 card that expires in 90 days.
So, that’s a minimum of $8.33 per month if you choose to look at that that way.
There is also a $20.00 for 30 days plan; you get 200 anytime minutes for that.

As for the phone itself, Last time I checked Walmart was having a special on the LG3300 model, and they are including a free hands-free headset. For about $60. The Virgin Mobile website is selling this same phone for $79.
Although everyone seems to be going for the Bluetooth camera phones! Apparently, after you take your picture you can just sort of point your phone towards one of those yellow kiosks, and the machine will know what you are talking about and print your photo. $99. for this one.

I understand i can buy a pre-paid or trac-phone,remove the sims card,replace with my sims card and use the phone. Is this correct? Any certain brand? Does the phone need to be unlocked? My phone number will work on it? thanks!

No, only some phones have a sim card. There are two different major cell phone systems in the U.S., GSM (AT&T, T-Mobile, select tracfone) and CDMA (Verizon, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, select tracfone). Only the GSM phones are required to use sim cards; which store your phone number, contacts and various other info, though in rare occurrances, some CDMA phones use them as well. However, the only way you can use a phone interchangeably with different carriers is if it is unlocked (assuming it uses a sim card). Otherwise it will be restricted to its respective service.

I happened to stumble upon an older pre-paid cell phone and decided to take a video of my findings. I then called a couple of numbers on the cell phone and returned it to it’s rightful owner. Needless to say, she was very thankful. Lesson learned – if you set your cell phone down on a store shelf, don’t forget to pick it back up

I don’t know whisch one to get either Virgin Mobile or Go phone by ATT..Please help I have the lady at walmart say tracphone but they are expensive.Don’t want a contract or any of that other stuff..Does anyone know what is the best for your money? Thank you!

Virgin mobile has cheaper pay as you go plans.

Buy prepaid cell phones at a local electronics store or any cell phone store. Find the cheapest option for prepaid phones by visiting a store that sells for all different cell phone companies with advice from the store manager of a cell phone broker in this free video on cell phones.

lets say im going to run away in 2 years and i have a pre paid cell could my parents go to the police or the store i bought the phone from so they can fined me

They can’t track it if it doesn’t have a GPS on it.

And on the plus side, its prepaid so the phone company doesn’t even know who you are.
